Descripción
EEF1G is a structural subunit of the eukaryotic elongation factor 1 (eEF1) complex, which mediates the delivery of aminoacyl-tRNA to the ribosome during protein elongation. Unlike other subunits, EEF1G plays a scaffolding role, stabilizing the eEF1 complex and enabling interactions with additional proteins involved in translation, signal transduction, and cellular metabolism. EEF1G is also implicated in translational regulation under stress conditions, where it interacts with molecular chaperones and other protein complexes to maintain translation fidelity and protein stability. Elevated expression of EEF1G has been associated with cancer progression, particularly in breast, colorectal, and liver cancers, where it contributes to enhanced protein synthesis, cell proliferation, and survival. Its role as a scaffold protein highlights its significance in coordinating protein synthesis and cellular signaling pathways critical for growth and stress adaptation.

EEF1G antibody
This gene encodes a subunit of the elongation factor-1 complex, which is responsible for the enzymatic delivery of aminoacyl tRNAs to the ribosome. This subunit contains an N-terminal glutathione transferase domain, which may be involved in regulating the assembly of multisubunit complexes containing this elongation factor and aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases.
