Descripción
Coronin 6 (CORO6) is another member of the coronin family, but it has a more specialized function compared to other coronin proteins. CORO6 has been shown to be involved in the regulation of intracellular signaling and the movement of vesicles within cells. It contributes to the proper functioning of the cytoskeleton and is involved in the trafficking and signaling mechanisms that control cellular processes like cell migration, differentiation, and adhesion. Like the other coronins, CORO6 is essential for immune function and neuronal activities, and it has been implicated in maintaining the structure of immune synapses and in neuronal development. Alterations in CORO6 activity can potentially affect both immune responses and neural network formation, leading to disorders related to cell signaling and movement.
