Descripción
TNFSF13B, commonly known as BAFF (B-cell activating factor), is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily and is critical for B cell survival, maturation, and immune function. This ligand is primarily produced by myeloid cells, such as monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells, but can also be secreted by activated T cells. BAFF plays a pivotal role in maintaining peripheral B cell populations, supporting antibody production, and promoting immune tolerance. It interacts with specific receptors on B cells and related immune cells, including BAFF-R, TACI (Transmembrane Activator and Calcium-Modulating Cyclophilin Ligand Interactor), and BCMA (B Cell Maturation Antigen), to initiate intracellular signaling pathways crucial for B cell homeostasis and function. Dysregulation of BAFF expression or receptor binding is associated with autoimmune diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), multiple sclerosis, and rheumatoid arthritis.

Tumor Necrosis Factor Ligand Superfamily Member 13B / BAFF (TNFSF13B) Antibody
TNFSF13B Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against TNFSF13B. The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. This cytokine is a ligand for receptors TNFRSF13B/TACI, TNFRSF17/BCMA, and TNFRSF13C/BAFFR. This cytokine is expressed in B cell lineage cells, and acts as a potent B cell activator. It has been also shown to play an important role in the proliferation and differentiation of B cells. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
