Descripción
ABCA5 is a member of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter family, involved in lipid transport and cellular detoxification processes. It is expressed in various tissues, including the liver, kidney, and brain, where it plays a role in maintaining lipid homeostasis and protecting cells from oxidative stress.
