Background

ANAPC12 (CDC26)is a structural subunit of the Anaphase-Promoting Complex/Cyclosome (APC/C) that stabilizes the assembly of the complex and supports its ubiquitin ligase activity. ANAPC12 forms part of the platform that anchors other key components, ensuring the recruitment and interaction of co-activators such as CDC20 and CDH1 with substrates. Through its structural role, ANAPC12 helps mediate the ubiquitination of critical regulators such as cyclins, securin, and other proteins involved in cell cycle progression.
