Background

Acylphosphatase 2 (ACYP2) is another isoform of acylphosphatase, primarily expressed in muscle and other metabolically active tissues. Like ACYP1, ACYP2 catalyzes the hydrolysis of acyl-phosphate bonds, regulating energy metabolism and phosphate turnover in cells.
