Description
TNFRSF10B Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against TNFRSF10B. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily, and contains an intracellular death domain. This receptor can be activated by tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis inducing ligand (TNFSF10/TRAIL/APO-2L), and transduces an apoptosis signal. Studies with FADD-deficient mice suggested that FADD, a death domain containing adaptor protein, is required for the apoptosis mediated by this protein. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms and one non-coding transcript have been found for this gene.

Descripción
TNFRSF10B (TNF receptor superfamily member 10b), also known as TRAIL-R2, DR5 (death receptor 5), or KILLER (Killer/DR5), is a cell surface receptor in the TNF receptor superfamily. It plays a crucial role in mediating apoptosis, especially in transformed or cancerous cells, through interaction with the TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL). Like other members of the death receptor family, TNFRSF10B is part of the body's natural mechanism for controlling cell growth, immune responses, and tumor suppression. TRAIL selectively targets cells exhibiting TNFRSF10B expression, making it a key pathway in immune surveillance and tumor inhibition, while leaving normal cells relatively unaffected. Due to its selective induction of apoptosis in abnormal cells, TNFRSF10B has become an important target in cancer therapeutics.
