TSPY like 6 (TSPYL6) is a member of the TSPY family of genes, which are involved in regulating cellular functions, including gene expression, differentiation, and potentially cell cycle progression TSPYL6, like other TSPY family members, is thought to play a role in transcriptional regulation by interacting with chromatin-modifying complexes and transcription factors While its exact functions are still being studied, TSPYL6’s expression in the testis and other tissues suggests it may be crucial for male reproductive development and possibly for regulating spermatogenesis Some studies suggest that TSPYL6 may also be involved in regulating apoptosis and maintaining tissue homeostasis during stress responses Dysregulation of TSPYL6 expression could potentially affect cell survival and differentiation, and its role in cellular stability may have implications for diseases, including cancers, where it might function as a tumor suppressor
