Description

TRAF3IP2 Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against TRAF3IP2. This gene encodes a protein involved in regulating responses to cytokines by members of the Rel/NF-kappaB transcription factor family. These factors play a central role in innate immunity in response to pathogens, inflammatory signals and stress. This gene product interacts with TRAF proteins (tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factors) and either I-kappaB kinase or MAP kinase to activate either NF-kappaB or Jun kinase. Several alternative transcripts encoding different isoforms have been identified. Another transcript, which does not encode a protein and is transcribed in the opposite orientation, has been identified. Overexpression of this transcript has been shown to reduce expression of at least one of the protein encoding transcripts, suggesting it has a regulatory role in the expression of this gene.

Descripción

RAF3-interacting protein 2 (TRAF3IP2), also known as Act1, is an adaptor protein that plays a key role in the regulation of inflammatory and immune responses by linking receptors such as IL-17 and CD40 to downstream signaling pathways. It interacts with TRAF family proteins to activate NF-kappa-B, MAPKs, and other transcriptional regulators critical for cytokine production and immune cell activation. TRAF3IP2 is essential for IL-17-mediated signaling, contributing to pro-inflammatory responses in autoimmune diseases such as psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, and multiple sclerosis. It also regulates B-cell survival and antibody production through interactions with CD40 and BAFF receptor pathways. Dysregulation or mutations in TRAF3IP2 are associated with increased inflammation, immune dysregulation, and susceptibility to certain cancers.
