TSPY like 4 (TSPYL4) is another member of the TSPY gene family, which is involved in regulating cellular processes such as gene expression, differentiation, and possibly cell cycle progression TSPYL4 is expressed in a variety of tissues and has been linked to important functions in development and cellular regulation The protein may have a role in modulating transcriptional activities by interacting with other regulatory proteins, although its specific molecular mechanisms are still under investigation Some studies suggest that TSPYL4 could be involved in apoptosis and the regulation of cell survival in response to stress In cancer, altered expression of TSPYL4 may affect tumor growth and metastasis, with some evidence suggesting that it might function similarly to a tumor suppressor by maintaining proper cellular differentiation and preventing uncontrolled cell proliferation Its potential role in regulating immune function also points to its significance in maintaining tissue homeostasis and immune surveillance
