Descripción
The CD2 molecule, also known as T-cell surface antigen T11/Leu-5, is a cell adhesion molecule found on the surface of T cells, natural killer (NK) cells, and thymocytes. CD2 is part of the immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily and plays a crucial role in the immune response by facilitating cell-cell adhesion and signal transduction. It was one of the first T-cell markers identified and has been extensively studied due to its importance in T cell and NK cell functions.

anti- CD2 antibody
CD2 interacts with lymphocyte function-associated antigen(LFA-3) and CD48/BCM1 to mediate adhesion between T-cells and other cell types. CD2 is implicated in the triggering of T-cells, the cytoplasmic domain is implicated in the signaling function.
