This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein.

Descripción

The prostacyclin receptor (PTGIR), also known as IP, is a G protein-coupled receptor activated by prostacyclin (PGI2), a potent vasodilator and inhibitor of platelet aggregation. PTGIR couples to Gs proteins, stimulating adenylate cyclase, increasing cAMP levels, and promoting downstream signaling that leads to smooth muscle relaxation and inhibition of platelet activation. PTGIR is expressed in endothelial cells, vascular smooth muscle, and platelets, where it plays a critical role in maintaining vascular homeostasis, reducing thrombosis, and regulating inflammation. Prostacyclin analogs, such as epoprostenol and iloprost, are used clinically to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) by improving vasodilation and reducing vascular resistance. Dysregulation of PTGIR signaling is implicated in cardiovascular diseases, thrombosis, and inflammatory conditions. PTGIR remains a valuable therapeutic target for vascular disorders due to its ability to promote vasodilation, inhibit platelet aggregation, and protect against endothelial dysfunction.

Prostacyclin Receptor (PTGIR) Antibody

PTGIR Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against PTGIR. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the G-protein coupled receptor family 1 and has been shown to be a receptor for prostacyclin. Prostacyclin, the major product of cyclooxygenase in macrovascular endothelium, elicits a potent vasodilation and inhibition of platelet aggregation through binding to this receptor.
