Descripción
IGSF6 is primarily expressed in immune cells, including macrophages, dendritic cells, and lymphocytes, and is associated with inflammatory signaling and immune activation. Structurally, it contains Ig-like domains that mediate cell-cell interactions in the immune system. IGSF6 is implicated in modulating immune responses during infections and autoimmune diseases, playing a role in regulating cytokine release and immune cell migration. Dysregulation of IGSF6 has been associated with conditions such as Crohn’s disease and rheumatoid arthritis, suggesting its involvement in chronic inflammation and immune-related disorders.
