Form | Lyophilized To keep the original salt concentration, we recommend reconstituting to the original concentration prior to lyophilization (see Concentration) in ddH2O. If a lower concentration is required, dilute in PBS, pH 7.4. If a higher concentration is required, the product can be reconstituted directly in PBS, pH 7.4, though please note that this will change the overall salt concentration. The stock concentration should be between 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Do not vortex. |

Descripción
ANGPTL6, also known as angiopoietin-related growth factor (AGF), is a secreted protein involved in angiogenesis, wound healing, and metabolic regulation. ANGPTL6 promotes endothelial cell proliferation and migration, enhancing angiogenesis and contributing to tissue regeneration and repair. It is upregulated in response to tissue injury and functions to accelerate wound healing by improving vascularization and dermal recovery. ANGPTL6 also plays an important role in metabolic homeostasis by enhancing insulin sensitivity and energy expenditure, which protects against obesity and insulin resistance. Dysregulation of ANGPTL6 has been associated with metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular diseases, and diabetes, where it may serve as a compensatory factor for impaired energy metabolism. Additionally, ANGPTL6 is implicated in cancer progression by modulating angiogenesis and tumor cell proliferation. Its dual role in tissue repair and metabolic regulation highlights ANGPTL6 as a potential therapeutic target for chronic metabolic diseases, wound healing, and cancer.

ANGPTL6 may play a role in the wound healing process. It may promote epidermal proliferation, remodeling and regeneration and may promote the chemotactic activity of endothelial cells and induce neovascularization. ANGPTL6 may counteract high-fat diet-induced obesity and related insulin resistance through increased energy expenditure.
