Descripción
RAB6B, member RAS oncogene family (RAB6B) is a small GTPase involved in regulating intracellular vesicle trafficking, particularly in the post-Golgi network RAB6B is essential for maintaining the proper organization of the Golgi apparatus and controlling vesicle transport between the Golgi and other cellular compartments It is involved in processes like protein sorting, secretion, and recycling, playing a crucial role in the movement of proteins, lipids, and other macromolecules within the cell Additionally, RAB6B is implicated in the regulation of mitosis, where it influences the dynamics of microtubules and membrane fusion during cell division Disruptions in RAB6B function have been associated with several types of cancer, where altered vesicular trafficking contributes to tumor progression, metastasis, and chemotherapy resistance Furthermore, RAB6B also participates in regulating immune responses by controlling the trafficking of immune receptors and cytokines
