Descripción
RAB41, member RAS oncogene family (RAB41) is a member of the RAB family of GTPases and is involved in regulating intracellular vesicle trafficking. RAB41 specifically contributes to the movement of vesicles in endocytic and exocytic pathways, playing a key role in maintaining cellular membrane dynamics and protein sorting. This protein is essential for the proper function of synaptic vesicles in neurons, facilitating the recycling of neurotransmitter receptors and the regulation of synaptic vesicle release. RAB41 is also involved in the trafficking of endosomal compartments, where it helps sort proteins for degradation or recycling. Its function in receptor trafficking is critical for cellular responsiveness to external stimuli and for maintaining receptor homeostasis. RAB41 has been implicated in various diseases due to its role in endocytosis and receptor signaling, including neurodegenerative conditions where impaired receptor recycling and vesicular trafficking contribute to synaptic dysfunction. Moreover, its involvement in cellular stress response pathways suggests that RAB41 may play a protective role in defending against cellular damage.

RAB41, Member RAS Oncogene Family (RAB41) Antibody
This gene encodes a small GTP-binding protein that belongs to the largest family within the Ras superfamily. These proteins function as regulators of membrane trafficking. They cycle between inactive GDP-bound and activated GTP-bound states, which is controlled by GTP hydrolysis-activating proteins (GAPs). This family member can be activated by the GAP protein RN-Tre, and it is localized to the Golgi complex.
