Descripción
RAB28, member RAS oncogene family (RAB28) is involved in regulating vesicular trafficking, particularly in processes related to the transport of proteins and lipids between the Golgi apparatus, endosomes, and the plasma membrane RAB28 plays a key role in the sorting and recycling of membrane proteins, ensuring the proper function of cell surface receptors, which is essential for signal transduction and cellular homeostasis It is implicated in the regulation of autophagy and the degradation of cellular waste, contributing to the maintenance of cellular health and stress response pathways RAB28 also plays a role in regulating the dynamics of endocytosis and exocytosis, which are necessary for the uptake of extracellular material and the release of internalized molecules RAB28’s dysfunction is associated with neurodegenerative diseases, where impaired vesicular trafficking contributes to the accumulation of damaged proteins and organelles Moreover, RAB28 is involved in regulating processes like cell migration, differentiation, and the immune response, which links it to the development of cancer, inflammatory diseases, and other disorders where abnormal cellular dynamics occur

Ras-Related Protein Rab-28 (RAB28) Antibody
This gene encodes a member of the Rab subfamily of Ras-related small GTPases. The encoded protein may be involved in regulating intracellular trafficking. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Pseudogenes of this gene are found on chromosomes 9 and X.
