Peroxidasin (PXDN) is a unique extracellular matrix enzyme belonging to the peroxidase family, which includes well-known enzymes like myeloperoxidase and thyroid peroxidase. PXDN is encoded by the PXDN gene located on chromosome 2p25 in humans.
