Background
Papilin, proteoglycan-like sulfated glycoprotein (PAPLN) is an extracellular matrix protein known for its multifaceted roles in tissue remodeling, development, and extracellular signaling. Its structure, rich in proteoglycan-like domains, allows it to interact with other matrix proteins, enzymes, and cell surface receptors, thereby influencing processes such as cell adhesion, migration, and differentiation.
