Descripción

NF2, moesin-ezrin-radixin like (MERLIN) tumor suppressor (NF2) is another critical tumor suppressor protein that functions as part of the NF2 gene, playing a key role in regulating cell-cell contact, maintaining cell adhesion, and controlling cell growth MERLIN, as a homolog of the ERM (ezrin-radixin-moesin) family of proteins, is involved in linking the actin cytoskeleton to the plasma membrane and plays a role in cellular processes such as migration, differentiation, and response to growth signals MERLIN acts as a tumor suppressor by inhibiting uncontrolled cell division and preventing the formation of tumors, particularly in the nervous system, where mutations in NF2 lead to the development of benign tumors known as schwannomas, including vestibular schwannomas, which affect hearing and balance MERLIN’s interaction with other signaling pathways, including the Hippo pathway, further strengthens its role in controlling cell proliferation and apoptosis Dysregulation of MERLIN signaling due to NF2 mutations contributes to the formation of tumors, making NF2 an important gene in the context of cancer research and therapeutic development

anti- NF2 antibody

Probable regulator of the Hippo/SWH(Sav/Wts/Hpo) signaling pathway, a signaling pathway that plays a pivotal role in tumor suppression by restricting proliferation and promoting apoptosis. Along with WWC1 can synergistically induce the phosphorylation of LATS1 and LATS2 and can probably function in the regulation of the Hippo/SWH(Sav/Wts/Hpo) signaling pathway. May act as a membrane stabilizing protein. May inhibit PI3 kinase by binding to AGAP2 and impairing its stimulating activity. Suppresses cell proliferation and tumorigenesis by inhibiting the CUL4A-RBX1-DDB1-VprBP/DCAF1 E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex.
