Descripción
ABCC12, a member of the ABCC subfamily, is a membrane-associated transporter protein implicated in multidrug resistance and cellular detoxification processes. Its expression is observed in various tissues, including the testis and breast. Although its exact substrates and biological functions remain under investigation, ABCC12 may contribute to transporting organic anions or xenobiotics. Dysregulation or mutations in ABCC12 have potential links to cancer progression and drug resistance. Further research is essential to elucidate its precise physiological and pathological roles.
