This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein.

Descripción

TRAF1 is an adaptor protein in the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) superfamily signaling pathways, playing a role in regulating NF-κB and MAPK activation, apoptosis, and immune responses. TRAF1 interacts with TNFR1, TNFR2, and other members of the TNF receptor family to mediate downstream signaling, promoting survival and inflammatory responses. TRAF1 is predominantly expressed in immune cells, including T cells, B cells, and macrophages, where it modulates cytokine production and apoptosis inhibition. It forms heterodimers with TRAF2 to regulate receptor complex formation and downstream signal transduction. Dysregulation of TRAF1 contributes to autoimmune diseases, chronic inflammation, and certain cancers by altering TNF signaling and immune responses. Knockdown studies show defects in cytokine production, reduced NF-κB activation, and increased susceptibility to apoptosis, underscoring its role in balancing immune homeostasis and cell survival pathways.

Adapter molecule that regulates the activation of NF-kappa-B and JNK. Plays a role in the regulation of cell survival and apoptosis. The heterotrimer formed by TRAF1 and TRAF2 is part of a E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex that promotes ubiquitination of target proteins, such as MAP3K14. The TRAF1/TRAF2 complex recruits the antiapoptotic E3 protein-ubiquitin ligases BIRC2 and BIRC3 to TNFRSF1B/TNFR2.
