Note | Validity: The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
Taste Receptor Type 2 Member 125 (TAS2R125) is another essential receptor in the TAS2R family, contributing to the detection of diverse bitter substances. Located within the gustatory system, TAS2R125 initiates a protective response upon exposure to bitter compounds, reducing the likelihood of consuming potentially harmful toxins. The receptor is activated by ligand binding, which triggers a signaling cascade involving G-protein activation and intracellular calcium mobilization, ultimately leading to a neuronal signal for the sensation of bitterness. In addition to its gustatory functions, TAS2R125 is expressed in non-oral tissues, where it is implicated in modulating immune defense mechanisms and cellular responses to environmental stressors. Polymorphisms in the TAS2R125 gene are known to influence individual taste sensitivity, dietary choices, and even health outcomes related to nutrient intake.
