Note | Validity: The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
PTPRVP is a pseudogene derived from the protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor family. As a pseudogene, PTPRVP retains sequence homology with functional receptor-type phosphatases but lacks the ability to produce a functional protein. It arises from gene duplication events and contains disrupted coding sequences, rendering it inactive in phosphatase activity. Pseudogenes like PTPRVP play important roles in genome evolution, serving as potential regulators of their functional counterparts through mechanisms such as gene expression modulation and competitive binding of regulatory factors. Although PTPRVP does not encode an active protein, it may act as a decoy to influence the function of receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatases, particularly within signaling pathways involving cell adhesion and proliferation. Research into pseudogenes like PTPRVP highlights their emerging role in genetic regulation, evolution, and potential contributions to diseases such as cancer.
