This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein.

Descripción

RAB7A, member RAS oncogene family (RAB7A) is a GTPase that plays a central role in regulating late endosomal and lysosomal trafficking, which is crucial for maintaining cellular homeostasis and protein degradation RAB7A is involved in controlling the movement of vesicles from early endosomes to late endosomes and from late endosomes to lysosomes, where materials are processed and degraded It also regulates autophagy, a cellular process responsible for the recycling of damaged organelles and proteins RAB7A’s involvement in these pathways helps control cellular signaling, immune responses, and tissue homeostasis Additionally, RAB7A has been shown to play a role in regulating the transport of key receptors involved in cell survival and immune responses Mutations or dysregulation of RAB7A are linked to several diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders, where defective vesicular transport impairs the clearance of cellular waste and leads to the accumulation of toxic substances Understanding RAB7A’s role in vesicular trafficking is critical for developing potential therapies for neurodegenerative diseases and cancer, where altered cellular transport processes contribute to disease pathogenesis

RAB7A antibody

Key regulator in endo-lysosomal trafficking. Governs early-to-late endosomal maturation, microtubule minus-end as well as plus-end directed endosomal migration and positioning, and endosome-lysosome transport through different protein-protein interaction cascades. Plays a central role, not only in endosomal traffic, but also in many other cellular and physiological events, such as growth-factor-mediated cell signaling, nutrient-transportor mediated nutrient uptake, neurotrophin transport in the axons of neurons and lipid metabolism. Also involved in regulation of some specialized endosomal membrane trafficking, such as maturation of melanosomes, pathogen-induced phagosomes(or vacuoles) and autophagosomes. Plays a role in the maturation and acidification of phagosomes that engulf pathogens, such as S.aureus and M.tuberculosis. Plays a role in the fusion of phagosomes with lysosomes. Plays important roles in microbial pathogen infection and survival, as well as in participating in the life cycle of viruses. Microbial pathogens possess survival strategies governed by RAB7A, sometimes by employing RAB7A function(e.g. Salmonella) and sometimes by excluding RAB7A function(e.g. Mycobacterium). In concert with RAC1, plays a role in regulating the formation of RBs(ruffled borders) in osteoclasts. Controls the endosomal trafficking and neurite outgrowth signaling of NTRK1/TRKA(PubMed:11179213, PubMed:12944476, PubMed:14617358, PubMed:20028791, PubMed:21255211). Regulates the endocytic trafficking of the EGF-EGFR complex by regulating its lysosomal degradation. Involved in the ADRB2-stimulated lipolysis through lipophagy, a cytosolic lipase-independent autophagic pathway(By similarity). Required for the exosomal release of SDCBP, CD63 and syndecan(PubMed:22660413).
