Mouse PHD finger protein 23 (PHF23) ELISA Kit is an ELISA Kit for the in vitro quantitative measurement of Mouse PHD finger protein 23 concentrations in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids.

Background

PHF23 is a chromatin-associated protein with a PHD finger domain that recognizes methylated histones, particularly H3K4me3, to regulate transcriptional activation and chromatin dynamics. It functions as a transcriptional co-activator by recruiting chromatin-modifying enzymes and transcriptional machinery to specific genomic loci, facilitating gene expression during cell proliferation and differentiation. PHF23 is highly expressed in hematopoietic and epithelial tissues, where it regulates pathways associated with cellular survival, stress response, and apoptosis. Dysregulation of PHF23 has been linked to leukemias and solid tumors, where it promotes abnormal proliferation and disrupts epigenetic regulation. Functional studies indicate that loss of PHF23 results in defects in histone recognition, impaired transcriptional activation, and altered cellular proliferation, emphasizing its critical role in maintaining transcriptional regulation, chromatin architecture, and cellular homeostasis.
