Note | Validity: The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
PHF14 is a nuclear protein that contains a PHD domain and is involved in chromatin-mediated gene regulation. It acts as a transcriptional regulator by binding to methylated histones, particularly H3K4me3, and recruiting chromatin modifiers to control gene expression. PHF14 regulates processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, and tissue remodeling, particularly in fibroblasts and epithelial cells. It is widely expressed in embryonic and adult tissues, where it modulates developmental programs, tissue repair, and extracellular matrix organization. Dysregulation of PHF14 is linked to lung fibrosis, kidney disorders, and cancer, where it promotes abnormal proliferation and tissue remodeling by altering transcriptional programs. Knockout studies reveal defects in fibroblast proliferation, impaired organ development, and disrupted extracellular matrix organization, emphasizing its role in chromatin regulation, tissue homeostasis, and disease pathogenesis.
