Note | Validity: The validity for this kit is 6 months. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
MFAP1 is a crucial structural protein that plays an integral role in the assembly and stability of extracellular matrix (ECM) microfibrils. These microfibrils are critical components of connective tissues and are involved in maintaining tissue elasticity and structural integrity, particularly in organs such as the skin, lungs, and blood vessels. MFAP1 interacts with fibrillin and other ECM proteins to support microfibril formation and functionality. Additionally, MFAP1 has been implicated in cellular signaling pathways that regulate tissue repair and development. Emerging research suggests its potential role in disorders associated with connective tissue abnormalities, such as Marfan syndrome. MFAP1’s expression and regulatory mechanisms remain under investigation, with ongoing studies aiming to better understand its contribution to ECM dynamics and associated pathologies.
