LRRC58 is a protein associated with cellular signaling and vesicular transport processes its expression is found across various tissues including the brain and immune system where it contributes to maintaining intracellular trafficking and vesicle-mediated transport studies suggest LRRC58 interacts with endosomal and lysosomal pathways influencing cellular homeostasis and immune responses its expression has been linked to processes regulating cellular adhesion and signaling particularly during immune activation and tissue remodeling bioinformatics data indicate potential roles in cytoskeletal organization and interaction with motor proteins such as kinesins although experimental evidence remains limited further research is needed to characterize its molecular functions and its potential relevance in neurodegenerative and immune-related diseases
