Descripción

LRRC49 is a member of the leucine-rich repeat-containing (LRR) protein family, characterized by its LRR motifs that facilitate protein-protein interactions, particularly in cell signaling, adhesion, and immune regulation. While its exact biological functions remain to be fully defined, LRRC49 is believed to participate in cellular processes such as signal transduction, proliferation, and differentiation through interactions with extracellular and intracellular signaling proteins. LRRC49 is expressed across multiple tissues, including immune, epithelial, and neuronal cells, where it may regulate cellular homeostasis and tissue development. Dysregulation of LRRC49 has been suggested to play roles in cancer progression and immune dysregulation due to its influence on signaling pathways and cell-cell communication. Functional studies are ongoing, but its predicted involvement in cell adhesion and growth processes highlights its significance in maintaining cellular integrity and function under physiological and pathological conditions.
