Form | Lyophilized To keep the original salt concentration, we recommend reconstituting to the original concentration prior to lyophilization (see Concentration) in ddH2O. If a lower concentration is required, dilute in PBS, pH 7.4. If a higher concentration is required, the product can be reconstituted directly in PBS, pH 7.4, though please note that this will change the overall salt concentration. The stock concentration should be between 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Do not vortex. |
Tested Applications | WB, SDS-PAGE |
Buffer | Prior to lyophilization: PBS, pH 7.4, containing 0.01% Sarcosyl, 1 mM DTT, 5% Trehalose and Proclin-300. |

Descripción
Interferon Alpha 13 (IFNA13) contributes to the antiviral defense by acting as a part of the type I interferon family. It is produced in response to viral infections or other immune triggers, such as recognition of viral nucleic acids by pattern recognition receptors (PRRs). IFNA13 engages IFNAR to activate downstream signaling pathways, leading to the expression of interferon-stimulated genes. These genes orchestrate various immune responses, including the inhibition of viral replication, enhancement of antigen presentation, and activation of immune effector cells like NK cells. While IFNA13 shares functional similarities with other type I interferons, its specific role in immune responses may differ depending on the context, such as the nature of the pathogen or the tissue involved. Further studies are needed to elucidate its precise contributions to immunity and its potential in therapeutic interventions.
