Descripción

FZD7 is a Wnt receptor involved in both canonical β-catenin-dependent signaling and non-canonical pathways, playing a critical role in cell proliferation, migration, and stem cell maintenance. It is highly expressed in embryonic tissues, intestinal epithelium, and cancer cells. FZD7 regulates intestinal stem cell renewal and differentiation, contributing to gut homeostasis and regeneration. In cancer, FZD7 is overexpressed in tumors such as gastric, colorectal, and hepatocellular carcinomas, where it drives Wnt/β-catenin signaling to promote cell proliferation, survival, and therapy resistance. FZD7 also plays a role in epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and metastasis, enabling cancer cells to invade and spread. Its involvement in stem cell biology highlights its importance in tissue repair and cancer stem cell maintenance. Additionally, FZD7 regulates non-canonical signaling pathways like planar cell polarity (PCP), controlling cell migration and polarity during development. Targeting FZD7 has been proposed as a therapeutic strategy to inhibit Wnt signaling in cancer and regenerative medicine, as its dysregulation contributes to tumorigenesis and disease progression.

Frizzled Homolog 7 (FZD7) Antibody

FZD7 Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against FZD7. Members of the 'frizzled' gene family encode 7-transmembrane domain proteins that are receptors for Wnt signaling proteins. The FZD7 protein contains an N-terminal signal sequence, 10 cysteine residues typical of the cysteine-rich extracellular domain of Fz family members, 7 putative transmembrane domains, and an intracellular C-terminal tail with a PDZ domain-binding motif. FZD7 gene expression may downregulate APC function and enhance beta-catenin-mediated signals in poorly differentiated human esophageal carcinomas.
