Descripción

DDB1 and CUL4 associated factor 10 (DCAF10) is a protein that functions as a substrate receptor for the CUL4-DDB1 E3 ubiquitin ligase complex. It contains WD40 repeats, which are structural motifs involved in protein-protein interactions, facilitating the recruitment of specific substrates for ubiquitination. While the precise biological functions of DCAF10 are not fully elucidated, its role as a DCAF suggests involvement in processes such as protein degradation, cell cycle control, and DNA repair. The expression pattern of DCAF10 varies across different tissues, indicating potential tissue-specific functions. Further research is necessary to comprehensively understand the substrates targeted by DCAF10 and its contributions to cellular physiology and pathology.
