This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein.

Descripción

Chemokine C-C-Motif Receptor Like Protein 2 (CCRL2) is an atypical chemokine receptor that interacts with chemerin, a chemotactic protein, but does not exhibit classical signaling functions like other chemokine receptors. CCRL2 is primarily expressed on immune cells, such as macrophages, dendritic cells, and endothelial cells, as well as on cells within the tumor microenvironment. Unlike traditional chemokine receptors that trigger intracellular signaling cascades upon ligand binding, CCRL2 functions as a decoy receptor or scavenger receptor, binding to its ligand without inducing a signaling response. Instead, CCRL2 helps to regulate chemerin levels by presenting it to other functional receptors, such as CMKLR1. CCRL2 is essential for modulating immune responses during inflammation and plays a role in controlling the migration and activation of macrophages and natural killer (NK) cells in response to chemerin. Dysregulation of CCRL2 has been implicated in diseases such as asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, and cardiovascular inflammation, where it affects leukocyte trafficking and inflammatory cytokine production. In the context of cancer, CCRL2 expression is elevated in certain tumor types, where it helps recruit immune cells to the tumor microenvironment, potentially influencing tumor immunity and progression. As a non-signaling receptor, CCRL2 provides an additional layer of regulation for the chemokine network, balancing immune responses and inflammation. Its emerging roles in immunity, inflammation, and tumor biology make CCRL2 an attractive target for research and therapeutic development in inflammatory and oncological diseases.

CCRL2 antibody

Receptor for CCL19 and chemerin/RARRES2. Does not appear to be a signaling receptor, but may have a role in modulating chemokine-triggered immune responses by capturing and internalizing CCL19 or by presenting RARRES2 ligand to CMKLR1, a functional signaling receptors. Plays a critical role for the development of Th2 responses.

Chemokine C-C-Motif Receptor Like Protein 2 (CCRL2) Antibody

This gene encodes a chemokine receptor like protein, which is predicted to be a seven transmembrane protein and most closely related to CCR1. Chemokines and their receptors mediated signal transduction are critical for the recruitment of effector immune cells to the site of inflammation. This gene is expressed at high levels in primary neutrophils and primary monocytes, and is further upregulated on neutrophil activation and during monocyte to macrophage differentiation. The function of this gene is unknown. This gene is mapped to the region where the chemokine receptor gene cluster is located.
