Form | Lyophilized To keep the original salt concentration, we recommend reconstituting to the original concentration prior to lyophilization (see Concentration) in ddH2O. If a lower concentration is required, dilute in PBS, pH 7.4. If a higher concentration is required, the product can be reconstituted directly in PBS, pH 7.4, though please note that this will change the overall salt concentration. The stock concentration should be between 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Do not vortex. |

Descripción
ANGPTL7 is a secreted glycoprotein and a member of the angiopoietin-like (ANGPTL) protein family that regulates extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling, angiogenesis, and ocular physiology. ANGPTL7 is highly expressed in the cornea and aqueous humor, where it plays a critical role in maintaining intraocular pressure and corneal transparency by modulating ECM composition and fluid outflow. Elevated levels of ANGPTL7 have been linked to primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG), a condition characterized by increased intraocular pressure and optic nerve damage. ANGPTL7 is also involved in tissue homeostasis and fibrosis through its regulation of collagen deposition and matrix degradation. Beyond its ocular functions, ANGPTL7 expression is upregulated under inflammatory conditions, suggesting a role in immune modulation and wound healing. Dysregulation of ANGPTL7 has been observed in certain cancers, where it may contribute to tumor progression by remodeling the tumor microenvironment. Its importance in ocular health and ECM regulation highlights ANGPTL7 as a potential therapeutic target for glaucoma and fibrotic diseases.
