Form | Lyophilized To keep the original salt concentration, we recommend reconstituting to the original concentration prior to lyophilization (see Concentration) in ddH2O. If a lower concentration is required, dilute in PBS, pH 7.4. If a higher concentration is required, the product can be reconstituted directly in PBS, pH 7.4, though please note that this will change the overall salt concentration. The stock concentration should be between 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Do not vortex. |

Descripción
AIMP1, also known as EMAP II (Endothelial Monocyte-Activating Polypeptide II), is a multifunctional protein that acts as a core component of the multi-aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase complex (MSC), which is essential for protein synthesis. It interacts with various aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases to maintain the stability and functionality of the complex. Beyond its role in translation, AIMP1 has extracellular signaling functions, particularly in modulating immune responses and angiogenesis. When secreted, AIMP1 functions as a cytokine that activates monocytes and endothelial cells, contributing to inflammatory responses and tissue repair. It is also involved in apoptosis, cellular stress responses, and tumor suppression. Dysregulation of AIMP1 is associated with cancer progression, inflammatory diseases, and autoimmune disorders, highlighting its dual roles in intracellular protein synthesis and extracellular signaling.
