Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
Acyl-CoA Synthetase Medium-Chain (ACSM) family members are enzymes involved in the metabolism of medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs), typically ranging from 4 to 12 carbon atoms in length. These enzymes catalyze the activation of MCFAs by converting them into acyl-CoA derivatives. This activation step is crucial for the subsequent utilization of fatty acids in various metabolic pathways, including beta-oxidation for energy production or incorporation into cellular membranes for lipid synthesis. ACSM4 with roles in fatty acid metabolism, with specific tissue distributions and substrate specificities.
