Descripción
LRRC42 is a poorly characterized protein believed to play a role in cellular signaling and cytoskeletal organization bioinformatics analyses suggest its involvement in processes such as cell migration and adhesion particularly in tissues undergoing rapid remodeling its expression has been observed in immune and epithelial cells where it may influence actin dynamics and intracellular trafficking pathways studies propose that LRRC42 could modulate pathways associated with mechanotransduction and cellular stress responses although direct evidence remains limited its potential involvement in inflammatory responses and immune regulation has been suggested based on its expression in immune cell populations ongoing research is required to clarify its functional roles and to explore its potential as a target in diseases involving cytoskeletal dysregulation and inflammation
