Descripción
LRRC3 is a protein primarily associated with cellular signaling and cytoskeletal organization expressed in various tissues including muscle and epithelial cells it is thought to modulate cellular adhesion and migration processes by interacting with extracellular matrix components and actin-binding proteins studies suggest LRRC3 plays a role in tissue remodeling particularly during wound healing and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) its expression has been linked to cancer biology where it may influence tumor progression and metastasis through its effects on cell motility and invasion bioinformatics analyses associate LRRC3 with Wnt/β-catenin and MAPK signaling pathways indicating its potential involvement in regulating cellular proliferation and differentiation despite limited direct experimental evidence research is exploring its potential as a biomarker in cancer and fibrotic diseases further studies are needed to clarify its molecular mechanisms and therapeutic applications
