Descripción

LRRC20 is a protein with emerging roles in immune regulation and cellular communication, primarily expressed in tissues with high immune cell activity such as lymph nodes and spleen studies indicate LRRC20 participates in modulating cytokine responses and immune cell adhesion through its interactions with extracellular matrix proteins and cell surface receptors its expression has been linked to the regulation of inflammation particularly in chronic conditions where it influences macrophage and T-cell activity LRRC20 has also been implicated in cancer immunology with evidence suggesting it may facilitate immune evasion by altering cytokine networks and immune checkpoint pathways although its precise molecular mechanisms remain unclear research is exploring its potential involvement in signal transduction pathways related to immune synapse formation its expression patterns and interactions suggest a role in maintaining immune homeostasis and responses to infections but further studies are required to characterize its function and therapeutic potential in immune and inflammatory disorders
