Background
Interferon Alpha 4 (IFNA4) is another member of the type I interferon family that contributes to the antiviral immune response. While less characterized than IFNA1 and IFNA2, IFNA4 exhibits similar functional properties, including activation of the IFNAR pathway and induction of interferon-stimulated genes that inhibit viral replication and modulate the immune response.
