Descripción
IGSF3 is widely expressed in epithelial and immune cells, where it plays roles in cell adhesion and immune regulation. Structurally, it contains multiple Ig-like domains and is involved in maintaining the epithelial barrier integrity and regulating immune cell interactions. IGSF3 is implicated in inflammatory diseases, where its dysregulation can lead to immune hyperactivation or loss of barrier function.
