RAB6C, member RAS oncogene family (RAB6C) shares significant functional overlap with RAB6B and is involved in similar roles in vesicular trafficking, protein sorting, and cell signaling RAB6C regulates the transport of vesicles from the Golgi to the plasma membrane and is crucial for maintaining cellular structure and membrane dynamics It is involved in cellular processes such as exocytosis, receptor recycling, and secretion of proteins involved in immune response and tissue remodeling Disruption of RAB6C can lead to defects in cell growth, signaling, and cellular organization, contributing to diseases such as cancer, where aberrant vesicle trafficking influences tumorigenesis RAB6C has also been implicated in neurodegenerative diseases, where alterations in vesicular trafficking disrupt neuronal function and lead to cellular dysfunction In addition to these roles, RAB6C is important for maintaining the integrity of cellular compartments involved in endosomal trafficking
