Background

RAB44, member RAS oncogene family (RAB44) is a GTPase involved in intracellular vesicle trafficking, particularly in the regulation of endosomal sorting and recycling. Like other RAB family members, RAB44 plays an important role in controlling the movement of proteins, lipids, and other molecules within cells, ensuring their proper localization. This protein is involved in the trafficking of vesicles from early endosomes to recycling endosomes, a crucial step for maintaining membrane homeostasis and receptor function.
