This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein.

Descripción

RAB26, member RAS oncogene family (RAB26) is a GTPase that participates in regulating intracellular vesicle trafficking, contributing to processes such as protein sorting and membrane recycling RAB26 is involved in maintaining cellular homeostasis by controlling the trafficking of vesicles between cellular compartments, particularly in the endocytic and exocytic pathways It plays a role in the recycling of membrane proteins, ensuring proper receptor availability at the cell surface for signaling and internalization Furthermore, RAB26 is linked to the regulation of autophagy, the process by which cells degrade and recycle damaged organelles and proteins RAB26 helps in the proper sorting of proteins to the lysosomes, where they are degraded, contributing to cellular maintenance and stress responses This protein’s involvement in autophagy links it to diseases such as cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, where impaired vesicular trafficking and autophagy can lead to cellular dysfunction and disease progression In cancer, RAB26’s dysfunction may contribute to the accumulation of misfolded proteins and the promotion of tumor growth and metastasis

The small GTPases Rab are key regulators of intracellular membrane trafficking, from the formation of transport vesicles to their fusion with membranes. Rabs cycle between an inactive GDP-bound form and an active GTP-bound form that is able to recruit to membranes different set of downstream effectors directly responsible for vesicle formation, movement, tethering and fusion. Mediates transport of ADRA2A and ADRA2B from the Golgi to the cell membrane. Plays a role in the maturation of zymogenic granules and in pepsinogen secretion in the stomach. Plays a role in the secretion of amylase from acinar granules in the parotid gland.

RAB26, Member RAS Oncogene Family (RAB26) Antibody

Members of the RAB protein family, including RAB26, are important regulators of vesicular fusion and trafficking. The RAB family of small G proteins regulates intercellular vesicle trafficking, including exocytosis, endocytosis, and recycling (summary by Seki et al., 2000 [PubMed 11043516]).[supplied by OMIM].
