RAR related orphan receptor A (RORA) is a nuclear receptor that is involved in regulating circadian rhythms, neurodevelopment, and immune system function RORA is activated by retinoic acid, but unlike classic retinoic acid receptors, it is considered an "orphan" receptor due to its lack of well-characterized endogenous ligands RORA plays a crucial role in maintaining the body’s internal clock, influencing sleep-wake cycles and regulating the expression of genes involved in metabolic processes It is also involved in brain function, particularly in the regulation of cerebellar development and the formation of neural circuits Additionally, RORA influences immune system function, where it helps modulate inflammatory responses and autoimmunity Dysregulation of RORA has been associated with various diseases, including neurodegenerative diseases, autoimmune disorders, and psychiatric conditions like autism spectrum disorder and depression

RAR Related Orphan Receptor Alpha (RORA) Antibody

RORA Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against RORA. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the NR1 subfamily of nuclear hormone receptors. It can bind as a monomer or as a homodimer to hormone response elements upstream of several genes to enhance the expression of those genes. The encoded protein has been shown to interact with NM23-2, a nucleoside diphosphate kinase involved in organogenesis and differentiation, as well as with NM23-1, the product of a tumor metastasis suppressor candidate gene. Also, it has been shown to aid in the transcriptional regulation of some genes involved in circadian rhythm. Four transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene.
