Descripción
RAB5A, member RAS oncogene family (RAB5A) is another member of the RAB family of small GTPases, playing a crucial role in regulating early endosome dynamics and vesicular trafficking RAB5A is involved in the initiation of endocytosis, controlling the fusion of early endosomes and the processing of internalized material It is essential for receptor-mediated endocytosis, where it helps sort and direct cargo for degradation or recycling within the cell RAB5A also participates in the regulation of cell signaling, including receptor tyrosine kinase signaling, and is involved in maintaining cellular communication and response to external signals Dysregulation of RAB5A activity has been linked to a variety of disorders, including cancer, where aberrant endosomal trafficking can influence tumor progression and metastasis Additionally, RAB5A plays a role in immune responses and the trafficking of immune receptors, further highlighting its importance in both normal cellular processes and disease pathogenesis

RAB5A antibody
The small GTPases Rab are key regulators of intracellular membrane trafficking, from the formation of transport vesicles to their fusion with membranes. Rabs cycle between an inactive GDP-bound form and an active GTP-bound form that is able to recruit to membranes different sets of downstream effectors directly responsible for vesicle formation, movement, tethering and fusion. RAB5A is required for the fusion of plasma membranes and early endosomes(PubMed:10818110, PubMed:14617813, PubMed:16410077, PubMed:15378032). Contributes to the regulation of filopodia extension(PubMed:14978216). Required for the exosomal release of SDCBP, CD63, PDCD6IP and syndecan(PubMed:22660413). Regulates maturation of apoptotic cell-containing phagosomes, probably downstream of DYN2 and PIK3C3(By similarity).
