Note | Validity: The validity for this kit is at least 6 months. Up to 12 months validity can be provided on request. This product is for research use only. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
Descripción
PTPRZ1, also known as RPTPζ, is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase highly expressed in the central nervous system, particularly in glial cells and neurons. Structurally, PTPRZ1 consists of extracellular carbonic anhydrase-like and fibronectin type III domains, a single transmembrane domain, and two intracellular phosphatase domains. PTPRZ1 regulates cell proliferation, differentiation, and migration, particularly in the context of neural development and repair. It acts as a receptor for pleiotrophin and midkine, growth factors involved in neuroprotection and neural plasticity. PTPRZ1 is crucial for maintaining oligodendrocyte function and myelination in the CNS. Dysregulation or overexpression of PTPRZ1 is associated with glioblastomas, where it promotes cell migration and survival. It is also implicated in neuropsychiatric conditions such as schizophrenia due to its role in synaptic regulation and plasticity. PTPRZ1’s multifunctionality underscores its significance in neural development, repair, and tumor biology.

PTPRZ1 antibody
Protein tyrosine phosphatase that negatively regulates oligodendrocyte precursor proliferation in the embryonic spinal cord. Required for normal differentiation of the precursor cells into mature, fully myelinating oligodendrocytes. May play a role in protecting oligondendrocytes against apoptosis. May play a role in the establishment of contextual memory, probably via the dephosphorylation of proteins that are part of important signaling cascades(By similarity).
