Descripción
Peroxisome proliferator activated receptor delta (PPARD) is another member of the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor family that regulates the expression of genes involved in lipid metabolism, energy expenditure, and inflammation PPARD is widely expressed in tissues such as the liver, muscle, and adipose tissue, where it helps regulate fatty acid oxidation, glucose metabolism, and mitochondrial function It also plays a key role in regulating the oxidative stress response and modulating the balance between energy storage and energy expenditure PPARD activation has been linked to improvements in insulin sensitivity and lipid profile, making it a potential therapeutic target for metabolic diseases like type 2 diabetes and obesity Additionally, PPARD is involved in the regulation of inflammation and immune responses, and its dysregulation has been implicated in inflammatory diseases, atherosclerosis, and certain cancers Its role in promoting fat burning and mitochondrial function makes PPARD a promising target for the development of therapies aimed at enhancing metabolic health and combating obesity-related conditions

anti- PPARD antibody
Ligand-activated transcription factor. Receptor that binds peroxisome proliferators such as hypolipidemic drugs and fatty acids. Has a preference for poly-unsaturated fatty acids, such as gamma-linoleic acid and eicosapentanoic acid. Once activated by a ligand, the receptor binds to promoter elements of target genes. Regulates the peroxisomal beta-oxidation pathway of fatty acids. Functions as transcription activator for the acyl-CoA oxidase gene. Decreases expression of NPC1L1 once activated by a ligand.
