LRRC3C is a protein associated with cellular signaling and immune modulation its expression is observed in immune cells and epithelial tissues where it may regulate inflammatory responses and cell adhesion studies suggest LRRC3C plays a role in modulating pathways such as nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) and Wnt/β-catenin signaling which are crucial for immune response and cell proliferation bioinformatics analyses indicate its potential involvement in maintaining epithelial barrier integrity and influencing tissue repair processes although direct experimental evidence remains limited LRRC3C may have tumor-suppressive properties as its expression is frequently downregulated in cancer tissues its dysregulation has been linked to chronic inflammatory conditions and cancer progression ongoing research focuses on characterizing its biological role in immune responses and its potential as a therapeutic target for inflammatory and neoplastic diseases
